Ever wondered what a web site looks like as it’s being designed?

  • I just have to vent a bit about this. Bear with me

Everytime an ad comes on television for Dell or another computer retail store they always start the ad by saying “Powered by an Intel Pentium IV Processor”.

Why? Argh! What good is that to me? It doesn’t tell me the actual speed of the processor. For all I know it could be a 2.4Ghz PC or maybe it’s a top of the range 3.7Ghz PC. But there’s no way for me to tell for sure.

Please stop trying to impress people with high-tech mumbo jumbo and give the full processor details!

Ok, rant over for another while

  • Out with the Old, In with the New

As you can see, Wired Vision has a new design. I was never that fond of the old one so I decided a new one was in order. Let me know what you think.

I’ll be adding the Portfolio section again as soon as it’s completed. If you spot any problems, stick in a comment and I’ll try to get it fixed asap.

Oh and by the way, I’m hoping to add another new section soon too, so watch out for it

  • Flabbergasted!

Last night, when watching the 100 Greatest Albums on Channel4, I kept trying to guess what the #1 album would be. As the title of this post suggests, I was a bit shocked when it was announced.

Consider the number of fantastic artists and bands there have been, and then considering the number of albums released by each.

But, the album that came in at #1 was voted for by the viewers of Channel4, so it doesn’t really represent the #1 album of all time. That kind of poll would be too hard to organise… I think!

At first I had guessed Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band or maybe Nevermind.

Anyway, the album that was voted in at #1 was O.K Computer by Radiohead. Surprised? I mean, yeah… it’s a fantasitc album, but I really don’t compare it to their previous album - The Bends. That’s my favourite album of all time so far and it’s going to take a lot to beat it imo.

Apparently Radiohead are bigger in the UK & Ireland than I thought

  • Never Too Old

At the age of 100 most people would think about winding down rather than downloading - but not Sidney Platt.

Mr Platt has embarked on his latest information technology course - at Havering College, east London - so he can better manage his finances.

I’m impressed! It’s nice to see that you can teach an old dog new tricks
